If you don't know a lot about Frida, she was a famous Mexican painter who suffered a bout of polio, and was in a terrible bus accident that left her in critical condition. Her body was never the same afterwards, and she often had to undergo frequent and extremely painful procedures to reset her spine/hip. Her husband Diego was consistently unfaithful. She wanted release from this life more than anything.
